Manon Tunic - Thick Ticking Stripe Fig Linen

The Manon is an oversized button-up tunic crafted from Lithuanian grown, woven and sewn linen. Featuring the same curved hem, wide silhouette, and back pleat detailing as the Man Shirt, but with a slightly more petite collar, and longer silhouette that can be worn open, closed, layered or belted.

Ticking Stripe was originally known as ‘ticking fabric’ and made from thickly woven cotton or linen, and in this case a lovely lightweight woven Lithuanian linen. ‘Ticking’ comes from the Greek word ‘theka’, which means ‘case’ or ‘covering’ as this delightful fabric has been traditionally used in the home to cover mattresses, keeping straw and feathers in securely. We fell in love with this timeless stripe many years ago, and love to incorporate it into our collections.

Warm Machine Wash

Monique is 160cm tall, she wears an AU size 10 and Metta Size 1. 

All measurements are taken in cm on a flat garment (please double for circumference), they are made by hand and may vary slightly. We recommend looking at the garment’s measurements and comparing it to a similar item in your wardrobe. 

Our linen styles are made from premium European flax linen, pre-washed, and ready to wear on arrival. Some are lightly pressed - within no time the fabric will soften with wear, crinkles and wrinkles will come naturally, giving it that stunning unironed look that we have all come to love.
